Software development & process improvement

Better software and better processes, built with the people who use them.

I am Marcin Nowacki, a consultant for software development and for improving the way companies work internally. I help teams build the tools they need, remove what slows them down, and check with numbers whether a change really helped.

Services

From the first idea to a change that sticks.

Software development

Applications for your internal processes: planned with the people who will use them, connected to the systems you already have, and handed over so your team can run them.

Process improvement

Together with your teams I look at how work really flows, find where time and motivation get lost, and introduce changes in small steps.

Measurable results

Every change gets a way to see its effect. Regular, short measurements show what works and what does not, instead of a survey once a year.

About me

25 years of software, from the code to the way teams work.

I studied computer science in Gdańsk and added an international MBA in Warsaw. Since 2001 I have worked in Germany for large technology companies: as a developer, project manager, requirements manager and agile coach. That is the mix I bring to every project: I can build the software myself, and I know how the teams around it work.

Product: JSandP On-Premise

Job satisfaction and productivity, measured on your own servers.

JSandP measures job satisfaction and productivity in short rounds, pairs colleagues for 1:1 talks and lets teams decide together what to improve. The on-premise edition runs on servers you choose, so your team's answers and ideas never leave your company, and you get the full source code.

Why on-premise

Some answers are too honest for someone else's server.

People only tell you what slows them down when they trust where their words go. Ratings, ideas and peer recognition are sensitive. On-premise, none of it leaves your infrastructure.

Data stays with you

Ratings, ideas and votes are stored only in your own database. I have no access unless you give it to me.

Your company login

Employees sign in with their company email and password through your directory (LDAP or Active Directory). No separate accounts to manage.

Your code to change

You receive the complete source code. Adapt texts, questions or emails, or connect it to your own tools.

Where it runs

You choose the server.

1

In your data center

On a server inside your company network, run by your own IT.

2

In your cloud

In your account with the cloud provider and region you choose, for example in the EU.

3

With a provider you name

On a server operated by your hosting partner or IT service provider.

The offer

One price. Everything you need to run it yourself.

No subscription: you pay once, by the size of your company, and JSandP is yours to run for as many teams as you like.

  1. Talk. We clarify your requirements and where JSandP should run.
  2. Install. I set up JSandP on your server together with your IT and connect it to your company login.
  3. Train. I train the people who organize teams and the people who operate the server.
  4. Hand over. You receive the source code and the documentation for operation and updates.

Frequently asked questions

What do you need from us for the installation?

A Linux server (a virtual machine is fine) with about 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of memory and 20 GB of disk space, access for the installation, an email account the application can send from, and, for the company login, a read-only account in your directory. I take care of the rest together with your IT.

How do employees sign in?

With their company email address and password, checked against your directory (LDAP or Active Directory). There is no registration and no separate password. Without a directory, JSandP can also manage its own accounts.

Can we change the source code?

Yes. You receive the complete source code and may change it for use within your company.

Does any data reach Top Advisory?

No. JSandP On-Premise does not send data to me. I only see something if you give me access, for example for support.

Can we try JSandP first?

Yes. You can create a team in the hosted version at jsandp.com and see how it works for your team before deciding.

Is there a running fee?

No. The price is one-time. If you would like help later, for example with an update or a change, it is billed at the consulting rate of €140 per hour, plus VAT.

Do you also take on other software or process projects?

Yes. JSandP is one of the things I offer; most projects start with a conversation about what slows your teams down. Write to me and we will find out whether I can help.

Let's talk about your teams.

Write to me with a few words about your company and what you would like to improve, or where JSandP should run. I will get back to you.
